Triumph TR4 (TR4A)

Automobiles

In 1965 the TR4A superseded the TR4, bringing a revised chassis and independent rear suspension. The arrival of the TR4A in 1965 left behind the side screen era cars, and Kastner returned to Sebring in 1966 with four carefully prepared TR4As, three of which finished winning the class. Perhaps the greatest racing victory for the TR4A was at Daytona, where a Kastner prepared car driven by Charlie Gates won the 1965 SCCA D modified championship. Its model years run from 1965 to 1967.
