A Mark 2 version of the Acclaim came out in 1983. The most notable outward change from the Honda was the appearance of a central badge on the grille, and other changes included twin Keihin carburettors, where the Ballade had only a single carburettor, mirrors on the doors, and independent MacPherson strut suspension tweaked for the UK market. Its seats were based on Morris Ital frames. The Acclaim was built at Cowley.
