The redesigned Celica Supra of the 1982 model year had a 2.8 liter 12 valve DOHC 5M-GE engine in North America, and a rear differential ratio of 3.72. The front nose badge and B pillar read only Supra for the first months of production, then Celica Supra. In Europe sales began in August 1982. This was the first model year of the Toyota Supra (second generation, A60), 1982 to 1985, which took over from the Toyota Supra (first generation, A40 and A50); the 1983 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Supra run from 1978 to 2026.
