The Z30 had been available since 1991 with a 4 speed automatic transmission and no 5 speed automatic was ever offered in Japan. It was model year 2 of 6 in the Toyota Soarer (third generation, Z30), 1991 to 2000, coming after the 1991 model year and before the 1993 model year.
