Toyota Mark X (first generation, X120)

Automobiles

The Mark X saloon appeared in 2004 as the successor to the Mark II saloon, which had been on the market since 1968. The continuation of describing the car as the X series is a reference to the first dedicated Mark II platform introduced in 1972. A first in its class was the rear bumper with an integrated exhaust outlet, which later moved to the corresponding model year Lexus LS series and the Crown. The former Kanto Auto Works produced the Mark X from November 2004 to September 2006, and in China it entered production on 24 October 2005 at the Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor plant.
