The third generation began in 1976, with the RX15 introduced in June 1976, and production of the Cressida started in December 1976. In most export markets Toyota marketed the vehicle as the Toyota Cressida between 1976 and 1992. This was the first model year of the Toyota Mark II (third generation, X30 and X40), 1976 to 1979, which took over from the Toyota Mark II (second generation, X10 and X20); the 1977 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Mark II run from 1968 to 2004.
