In August 1986 the Mark II range received a minor facelift and some technical improvements, and in December 1986 two special editions appeared, the well equipped 1800 GR Saloon and the Hardtop Grande Twin Cam 24 Limited. The Cressida offered the W58 five speed manual only in the 1986 model. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Mark II (fifth generation, X70), 1984 to 1987, coming after the 1985 model year and before the 1987 model year.
