The facelift version of the Land Cruiser 200 was released in the UK and went on sale on 1 March 2012. For 2012 the 1GR-FE gained dual VVT-i, and the 79 Double Cab pickup was introduced in South Africa and Australia. It was model year 5 of 8 in the Toyota Land Cruiser (200 series, J200), 2007 to 2020, coming after the 2011 model year and before the 2013 model year.
