The first generation Crown Majesta was introduced in Japan as a four door hardtop sedan in October 1991, after the international introduction of the Celsior and Lexus LS in late 1989. It was positioned as a modern limousine within the Crown line. This was the first model year of the Toyota Crown Majesta (first generation, S140), 1991 to 1994, the first generation covered for the Toyota Crown Majesta; the 1992 model year follows it.
