Production of the double cab Masterline pickup, a utility vehicle related to the Crown, started in April 1957 at the former Central Motors. Later that summer three Toyota delegates showed a Crown and a Crown Deluxe, in white and black, to American dealers and journalists, preparing the way for the car's export to the United States. It was model year 3 of 7 in the Toyota Crown (first generation, RS to S30), 1955 to 1961, coming after the 1956 model year and before the 1958 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Crown run from 1955 to 2026.
