April 1974 brought larger, rounder and heavier Corollas and Sprinters, with the Corolla coded E30 and the Sprinter E40. The car went on sale in North America in late 1974 as a 1975 model, and the fuel crisis helped turn this into Toyota's strongest period of growth in America. This was the first model year of the Toyota Corolla (third generation, E30 to E60), 1974 to 1978, which took over from the Toyota Corolla (second generation, E20); the 1975 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Corolla run from 1966 to 2026.
