The hybrid variant reached Indonesia on 22 April 2019, the electric C-HR and IZOA were unveiled at the Shanghai show on 16 April, and a facelift followed in October. It was model year 4 of 7 in the Toyota C-HR (first generation, AX10 and AX50), 2016 to 2022, coming after the 2018 model year and before the 2020 model year.
