In April 2012 Toyota partly revealed its redesigned Avalon at the New York show, built on the same platform as the Lexus ES, and in June 2012 it announced that a hybrid would be offered. The previous generation was thus in its final model year, 2012. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Avalon (third generation, XX30), 2005 to 2012, and the Toyota Avalon (fourth generation, XX40) came next, following the 2011 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Avalon run from 1995 to 2026.
