Toyota expanded the availability of Vehicle Stability Control to the XL and Touring trim levels of the Avalon for the 2006 model year. Because of changes to the SAE test procedures, the power rating dropped to 268 horsepower for 2006, though the engine itself was not altered. It was model year 2 of 8 in the Toyota Avalon (third generation, XX30), 2005 to 2012, coming after the 2005 model year and before the 2007 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Avalon run from 1995 to 2026.
