After being previewed as the FT-MV in 2007, the second generation Alphard went on sale in May 2008. From this generation a twin model called the Toyota Vellfire was available, marketed as a sportier alternative to the Alphard. This was the first model year of the Toyota Alphard (second generation, AH20), 2008 to 2014, which took over from the Toyota Alphard (first generation, AH10); the 2009 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Alphard run from 2002 to 2026.
