Subaru Hybrid Tourer

Automobiles

The Subaru Hybrid Tourer is a hybrid concept sport utility and grand touring vehicle designed and built by Subaru and unveiled at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. It combines a 2.0 litre horizontally opposed direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine driving the front wheels through a Lineartronic CVT with a 20 kW electric motor on the rear axle, which removes the driveshaft and allows a flat rear floor, and it has two large gull-wing doors. It built on the B9SC and B5-TPH hybrid concepts and was succeeded by the 2011 Advanced Tourer and the 2013 to 2015 VIZIV concept series.
