The Subaru Getaway is a three-row battery electric crossover that Subaru markets as a rebadged version of the fifth-generation Toyota Highlander. It was unveiled on 1 April 2026 at the New York International Auto Show, and its launch was delayed until 2027, which is the 2028 model year in the United States, along with the Highlander it is based on. It is the Subaru badged counterpart of the Highlander line, which Toyota has built since 2000 as a mid-size crossover on a car platform and which became a battery electric model with its 2026 redesign.
