The Subaru Bighorn was a mid-size SUV that Subaru sold from November 1988 until February 1992, a rebadged Isuzu Trooper rather than a Subaru design. It was offered only with an Irmscher finish, and its single powertrain was Isuzu's 2.8 litre inline four turbodiesel with either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox and part-time four-wheel drive. The arrangement ended when sales stopped in February 1992. The Trooper itself ran for two generations from 1981 to 2002 under many badges, from Acura SLX to Holden Jackaroo.
