The Lexus RZ is a battery electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV that Toyota builds for its luxury division Lexus from 2023. Euro NCAP counts it as a large SUV and the United States Environmental Protection Agency as a small sport utility vehicle. It is built on the e-TNGA platform shared with the Toyota bZ4X and the Subaru Solterra, and it is the first dedicated battery electric vehicle of the Lexus marque to be sold worldwide, coming after the UX 300e, which was based on a petrol car. A prototype was shown in December 2021 at a Toyota press event on electric plans, and the production model was unveiled on 20 April 2022.
