The Daihatsu Terios is a mini SUV that the Japanese automobile manufacturer Daihatsu has produced since 1997 as the successor to the F300 series Rocky. It was first offered in short- and long-wheelbase versions, and the short one stopped production in 2016 to be replaced by the A200 series Rocky crossover in 2019. The first generation, previewed as the MS-X97, was a five-door wagon with a smaller kei car model called the Terios Kid, released only in Japan in October 1998, which was built for six years after the original Terios was replaced. By the end of 2002 Daihatsu had sold 33,000 Terios and 97,000 Terios Kid, and in Australia a limited edition sports series of 200 units was introduced in 2001.
