After US production ended in June 2015, the Venza continued to be built at Georgetown, Kentucky for export, so in 2016 it remained on sale in markets such as Russia and China. The upcoming RAV4 was significantly enlarged and would compete with the outgoing Venza. It was model year 8 of 9 in the Toyota Venza (first generation, AV10), 2009 to 2017, coming after the 2015 model year and before the 2017 model year.
