US sales of the all new RAV4 began in early January 2013, after its reveal at the Los Angeles show, and Australia followed in February. The Adventure and Premium versions were shown at Geneva in March, production in China began in August, and the UK model went on sale. This was the first model year of the Toyota RAV4 (fourth generation, XA40), 2013 to 2018, which took over from the Toyota RAV4 (third generation, XA30); the 2014 model year follows it.
