In 2005 a CV Sport model with a non functional hood scoop was added in Australia to give the RAV4 a more aggressive look. It lasted only a year and was introduced to stimulate sales until the new generation arrived, which was unveiled that autumn in Frankfurt. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota RAV4 (second generation, XA20), 2000 to 2005, and the Toyota RAV4 (third generation, XA30) came next, following the 2004 model year.
