In 2000 Subaru launched a G Edition of the Pleo Nesta in May, and the first facelifted Pleo followed in October. In December the cheerful looking Pleo Nicot finally went on sale, with single round headlights and a small smile shaped grille on the Nesta fenders, and with only the mildcharged gasoline engine on offer. The name pleo is Latin meaning to fill or to fulfill. The Pleo was available with a variety of 658 cc I4 engines: SOHC, DOHC, and supercharged in two different trim levels.
