Automobiles

The Leone was replaced by the Impreza in 1994. The Subaru Leone Van, introduced in August 1994, was a badge engineered version of the Nissan AD van for light commercial uses. The Leone was produced from 1971 to 1994 as Subaru's compact car, and the Impreza took over as its successor. The Leone was released as a replacement for the Subaru 1000 and was the predecessor of the Subaru Impreza. The word leone is Italian for lion.
