The sixth generation Subaru Legacy made its debut at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show and went into production for the 2015 model year. A 2.5 liter flat four FB25 and a 3.6 liter flat six EZ36D were carried over from the fifth generation. The Legacy still uniquely offers standard all wheel drive and horizontally opposed engines, but dropped the manual transmission for the United States in favor of the Lineartronic CVT. Its model years run from 2015 to 2019.
