Bertone Mantide

Automobiles

The Bertone Mantide is a concept car based on the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, first unveiled in 2009 through a series of YouTube videos known as Project M. Its body panels, interior trim, seats and even wheels are carbon fibre, making it about 100 kg lighter than the ZR1, and its aerodynamics cut drag by 25 percent to a Cd of 0.298. The supercharged 6,162 cc V8 produces 476 kW (638 bhp), and Bertone quoted 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 351 km/h. Although Bertone was widely reported to plan ten cars, the Mantide was made for the collector Dan Watkins and only one was ever built. It also appears as a drivable car in Forza Motorsport 3 and 4.
