Mercury Meteor

The Meteor was a Mercury automobile produced for the 1961 to 1963 model years, using a name from the Ford of Canada brand of the same name. It started as the base full size Mercury sedan, the counterpart of the Ford Fairlane, and for 1962 and 1963 became the first intermediate size Mercury. It was one of the shortest lived Mercury nameplates, withdrawn after 1963, with the role revived for 1966 as the Comet grew into the intermediate segment.
