Lexus IS

Automobiles

The Lexus IS is a compact executive car that Lexus has sold since 1998. In Japan the first generation was sold until 2005 as the Toyota Altezza, and the IS 200 reached Europe in 1999 and North America as the IS 300 in 2000. It was introduced as the entry level sport model below the ES, and it stayed the smallest car in the Lexus range until the CT arrived in 2011. The first generation used a straight-six engine and came as a sedan and a wagon. The second generation of 2005 added V6 and diesel sedans, the high-performance IS F in 2007 and the IS C coupe convertibles in 2008, and the third generation of 2013 brought turbocharged and hybrid versions.
