Healey Duncan

Automobiles

The Healey Duncan was a Warwick Healey fitted with a body by Duncan Industries of North Walsham in Norfolk, built from 1946 to 1948 on the early A and B type Healey chassis with the Riley 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine. The Association of Healey Owners lists a four-seat saloon and a convertible, counting 39 saloons, 3 convertibles and roughly 50 of the stripped-down roadsters known as the Drone. The Drone, launched in 1947 and nicknamed the Spiv, had an extremely simple body with minimal equipment and sold for under 1,000 pounds, and its buyer could have the chassis rebodied afterwards in a more elaborate style. It was an early low-priced alternative that came before the Healey Silverstone.
