Datsun 810

Automobiles

The Datsun 810 was a mid-size car that Datsun sold in North America from February 1977 until 1981. The first generation, sold for the 1977 to 1980 model years, was based on the four-cylinder Datsun Bluebird (810) but given a longer engine bay so that it could take larger straight-six engines. It was offered at first as a sedan and a station wagon, and a hardtop coupe was added in January 1979 for the 1979 model year. A second generation, derived from the Datsun Bluebird (910), came as a sedan and wagon for the 1981 model year only. For the 1982 model year those second generation cars were renamed Datsun Maxima, which ended the 810 name.
