A longer wheelbase chassis, 6 inches longer than before, became an option on the Clegg Rover 12 in 1921. Advertisements in 1922 quoted open two and four seat bodies, saloon, limousine coupe and drophead coupe bodies being available at prices from 625 to 800 pounds. The engine had a detachable head and an electric starter since 1919, and the car remained a medium sized four cylinder family car. The 1921 car kept the 2297 cubic centimeter four cylinder engine.
