1919 Rover 8

Automobiles

Following the First World War a new twin cylinder 8 horsepower light car of 998 cubic centimeters was offered from 1919 to 1925 under the Rover 8 name, later enlarged to 1134 cubic centimeters. It was the second car to carry the name. The design was by Jack Sangster, announced in October 1917 largely before he joined Rover, and it was a cheap light car for the postwar buyer. The postwar car was a twin cylinder design.
