The Silver Spirit II and Silver Spur II were introduced at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show as refinements of the original models. The last Mark I car was chassis number KCH27798, with Mark II cars starting with 29001. Suspension design saw the most change, with Automatic Ride Control, and ABS and fuel injection, the Bosch MK-Motronic system, were adopted as standard for all models and markets. The Mark II was built by Rolls-Royce Motors at Crewe.
