The Mark III facelift of 1966 brought wind up windows and fresh air fascia vents to the Riley Elf. Both the Elf and the Hornet went through three engine versions, from the 848 cc 34 bhp unit through the 998 cc Mark II engine. The Elf of 1966 had concealed door hinges, which were introduced two years before they were seen on the Austin and Morris Minis, and was still a luxury Mini. The Elf had a facelift that year.
