1961 Riley 4/Sixty Eight

Automobiles

Just before the 1961 Motor Show, in October, the 4/Sixty Eight became the 4/Seventy Two, closely related again to the 16/60 update of the Wolseley car. The 1961 car was the last of the first series, with the original 1489 cubic centimeter engine replaced by one of 1.6 liters in the new model, and the wheel location changes made at the same time to all the BMC Farina saloons to answer criticism of the indifferent road holding of the 1959 cars.
