Production of the facelifted Range Rover Sport began in 2018, with redesigned bumpers, new exhausts, new headlights, the Touch Duo infotainment, mild-hybrid petrol engines of 355 and 395 horsepower, a 518-horsepower V8 and the SVR at 575 horsepower. In February 2018 Land Rover took a hybrid Sport up Tianmen Mountain with driver Ho-Pin Tung, who climbed the 999 steps of the 45-degree staircase to Heaven's Gate. Its sales in 2018 reached 77,847 units, the second-best of any Land Rover.
