A targa style removable hardtop coupe joined the lineup for 2009 in both base and GXP trims. Because of General Motors' financial restructuring and the phase out of the Pontiac brand, 2009 was the final full production year for the Solstice, with assembly ending in mid 2009 and a tiny handful registered as 2010 models, a short run for the two seat roadster that first appeared in concept form in 2002.
