1968 Pontiac GTO

Automobiles

General Motors redesigned its A body line for 1968, with more curvaceous, semi fastback styling, and the standard GTO engine's power rating rose to 350 horsepower, while powertrain options remained the same as in 1967. Concealed windshield wipers were standard, a hood mounted tachometer was a popular option, redline bias ply tires were standard, and the 1968 GTO had federal emissions controls and shoulder belts. Royal Pontiac offered a 428 Royal Bobcat conversion.
