The 1988 Fiero finally incorporated the suspension that the Pontiac engineers had designed in the beginning, with revised control arms and knuckles that reduced steering effort and improved the scrub radius, along with two piece brake calipers and upgraded rotors. A Formula option was added with many of the GT features on the standard coupe body, and 1988 marked the end of production for the Fiero.
