Opel Campo

Automobiles

The Opel Campo is a pickup truck that was sold in Western and Central Europe from August 1991 to December 2001, and in the United Kingdom it was marketed as the Vauxhall Brava. It was based on the Isuzu Faster TF and was first offered as the Isuzu Campo, and it was built by IBC Vehicles, later GM Manufacturing Luton. Like its competitors it came in three versions: a two-door two-seater, a two-door Sportscab with a short-distance second row of two emergency seats, and a four-door crew cab with a full rear bench, while Truckman, Road-Ranger and Brahma offered hardtops for the load bed. A facelift in May 1997 also led to production for Holden as the Holden Campo and raised the output of the 2.5 litre diesel from 56 to 74 kW. The engines were three diesels and a 2.3 litre petrol engine, and the Sportscab and crew cab were available with four-wheel drive and a reduction gearbox. A Limited Edition followed in March 2001, and Isuzu has offered the D-Max since 2002.
