Holden UTEster

Automobiles

The Holden UTEster was a concept car built by Holden and unveiled at the 2001 Melbourne Motor Show. Holden developed it with the specialist firms Car Tech and Paratus, and it took the form of a convertible coupe utility with a targa top, based on the production Holden Ute. Its name is a portmanteau of ute and roadster. The styling used a yellow and black theme inside and out, with 19-inch wheels and an Alpine entertainment system, and the load area used a split fold decklid whose front section held the removable top and rear glass panels while the rear section worked as a traditional cargo bed.
