The diesel engine was removed from the Mokka lineup in August 2022. The second generation Mokka used the PSA platform, and also came as the electric Mokka e. By 2022 Opel was owned by Stellantis, formed in 2021 by the merger of PSA and Fiat Chrysler, and the Mokka was one of its crossovers. The 2022 Mokka dropped the diesel engine in August 2022, in the second model year of the Mokka B, owned by Stellantis.
