Sales of the second generation Mokka began with the model year of 2021 on 23 December 2020, and the production model assembly started in January 2021. The ICE version was unveiled on 2 September 2020. The second generation marked the switch to the PSA platform after the acquisition of Opel and Vauxhall in 2017, under which the Mokka was a Groupe PSA car. The 2021 Mokka was the first of the second generation, sold from December 2020, a crossover on the PSA platform, after a short break.
