In 2019 Opel ceased production of the first generation Mokka as part of Opel and Vauxhall's full switch to Groupe PSA car platforms. However it remained in production by GM Korea as the Buick Encore for North America until the Encore was discontinued in 2022. The Mokka had been sold since 2012 as a subcompact crossover. The 2019 Mokka was the last model year of the first generation, a car of the General Motors era built until the PSA platforms.
