In April 2016 Opel and Vauxhall unveiled an updated version of the Mokka for the model year of 2017, designated the Mokka X, which went on sale at the end of 2016. In January 2016 Opel announced 500,000 firm orders for the Mokka overall. Bitter has been producing a luxury version of the Mokka since 2016. The Mokka was a General Motors designed car under Opel. The 2016 Mokka was the last year before the Mokka X, a facelift shown in April 2016 as the model of 2017.
