Nash Statesman (first generation)

Automobiles

The first Statesman was the old base Nash 600 renamed, built on the Airflyte unit body with fastback styling and skirted fenders, on a wheelbase nine inches shorter than the Ambassador's because of a shorter front clip. Power came from an L head six cylinder engine descended from the 1920s Nash Light Six. Two door models had Nash's reclining front seat that could convert into a bed. Its model years run from 1950 to 1951.
