The engine of the Series E went on, with very minor changes, to be used in the Series MM Morris Minor from 1948 until 1953, and was also adapted as an auxiliary power unit in the Centurion, Conqueror and Chieftain tanks. Morris also used it as the basis of special marine and stationary power plants. The Eight itself ended in 1948 after fourteen years, since its introduction in 1934, as Britain's small family Morris.
