In January 2018 the Triton Athlete was launched as the new range topper. The fifth generation Triton of 2018 was in its fourth year, a mid size pickup truck sold in every available Mitsubishi market except the United States, Canada, Japan, India and China, sharing its underpinnings with the Fiat Fullback. The Triton is a mid-size pickup truck, also known as the Mitsubishi L200, produced by Mitsubishi Motors. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles did not introduce the Fullback in the North American market due to the U.S. chicken tax.
