The Tredia was given a mild facelift in 1983. Its standard transmission was the Super Shift of Mitsubishi with high and low ranges, which gave eight forward speeds and was also fitted to the turbo cars, and the car usually came well equipped, with rear headrests, an adjustable steering wheel and a colored graphic indicator of airflow in the cabin. In Japan the Tredia was sold at a specific retail chain called Car Plaza.
